Fill Water Tank.

Turn off humidifier and unplug the power cord from A/C outlet. Remove tank from

base. Turn upside down and unscrew filling cap. Fill tank with clean, cool, distilled,

filtered, or tap water. Do not attempt to fill unit through Vapor Nozzle. Water temperature

should NEVER be too hot or too cold. Extreme temperatures can damage the

unit. Tighten filling cap firmly. Return tank to base and let it sit for a few minutes. For

first time use or when replacing the demineralization cartridge filter, please soak the

filter in warm water for several minutes.

Throw the unit out - it's garbage

I had the same problem. During the cleaning process, the white float was installed upside down and humidifier water level sensor was unable to read the float. I removed the phillips screw and inverted the float with the dark ring toward the bottm. Quick fix.

The best way to get rid of the mold is to use bleach water. You need to clean and scrub it out, making sure the bleach gets in every cranny. Lastly, really (and I mean really) rinse it out.
