Mitsubishi dlp tv picture is getting darker

One of two possible issues:1. Lamp is nearing end of life and may dim just before total failure.2. A few of these models have 2 mirrors(check with Mitsubishi to see if yours is one) A large mirror in back (never gives a problem and do not try to clean it. Some idiot in these sets used a small mirror inside that the optical unit shines the picture into (wedge shaped mirror and small) and it is facing up----the fans intake air from the front of the set around this mirror--it gets coated with lots of dust---Picture can loose up to 70% of its brightness and clarity if that mirror is dirty--looks like 20 year old set .If you do not wish to check with Mitsubishi GOOGLE THE MODEL NUMBER with "mirrors" to see.If it has 2 mirrors I can tell you exactly how to get at it.SD TECH

Re: WD65736 DLP High Def TV. Powered it on and heard a "POP". We now have no sound or picture. Tried reset button and unplugging and replugging the set but nothing has changed. You can hear the fa

pop sound i would think a main capacitor has gone, on the power board. it could be just the capacitor or the voltage regulator has gone as well and blown the capacitor. it could also be the diode that has for pins has + & - on it with 2 squiggly lines on it when this goes it can go with a bang and there will be no power light or anting, and it also blows the 5 volt side of the tv. so all the parts would need replacing.

Blinking status green light red

The most common issue for this TV is the lamp.If the current lamp in the TV set is around 2-3 years old then I would start with that. If the lamp is not original they only last about 1 year.If you already replaced the lamp recently the next step is the ballast.I hope my answer was helpful :)

My WD65736 blub shut down with the lamp fail light lit I replaced the bulb now it comes on have a picture for a few about 30 seconds and then shuts down with the lamp fail light on

Most likely is either ballast has failed etc---if you have not do try the sets self check which will indicate a error code.
