the batteries are gone . it carries 3 small 1.2volts battery 1 1/8" long and 3/8" in diameter soldered together making it 3.6 volts why couldnt duracel used aaa instead .couldnt find these batteries online. batteries are nickel metal hydride type 300mah.

I found with my Duracell crank lights they periodically need a good charge to function well. On the side there is a 5v charger socket - suggest and 8-10 hr charge. There is also a USB with a switch between IN and OUT. With a suitable USB cable in the IN position, the light can be connected to a computer to recharge. Hope this helps.

Bought a universal charger from Radio Shack with plug that match spotlite.

the bulbs could be bad, the batteries could be bad, you could have replaced with incompatible batteries or have the wrong orientation. did you realign the compartment to make contact ? often the spot where the batteries go have a wire or metal that connects to another wire or metal when you replace the battery compartment- maybe that metal or wire is not aligned correctly or touching like it should. Have you tried holding the on button for a few seconds or switching it on/off/on quickly?

The switch needs to be repaired or replaced.
