Tv wont go to hdmi1 and is stuck on dvd.
I think what is happening with your tv is it does not see the signal. If there is no signal going to the tv it will not let you select the source you like, in this instant HDMI 1. What you probably need to go do is look at you dishtv set top box and go to that box's menu and enable hdmi output. Hope this helps.
My Harmony One won't charge. It's in its cradle.
I recently had this same problem. The remote displayed a "low battery"
warning and could not be used, so I left it on the charger overnight and
the next morning, it still had no charge. Everything seemed to be fine
(and I verified that it was making good contact with the charger), but
it wouldn't charge.Finally, I pulled out the battery to see if
there was any obvious problem. There didn't seem to be, but when I put
the battery back in, the remote suddenly started working (and showed
about a 75% charge).So far, it seems to be working (and charging) correctly since then.

Hmm I havent heard of this before. Did you try updating the firmware on the remote?
1. Remove the battery, press and hold the 'OFF' button, and re-insert the battery. The screen will display 'Safe Mode!', or the 'Activities' button will be lit.
2. Connect your remote to the computer.
3. Launch the Harmony Remote Software, and log in.
4. Click "Downloads" at the top and click "Firmware".
5. The remote will go through the firmware update.
6. Select "Yes", and click NEXT to update the remote.

Take your Shaw remote control, and follow the instructions on the back. If that does not work, telephone Shaw, and ask for technical support for TV.
Once it is setup, press the TV button on the Shaw remote control, and press the MENU button. That should show the TV's "setup" menu.

Your Logitech remote should be able to work on a 220 volt system so ling as the AC adaptor that plugs between the wall and the charger is rated 110-220v. Unplug it from the wall an read what it says on the outside. In should say "Input 110-220v" to be safe to put on a 220 system. If it is only rated 110v input power, you may need to purchase a universal power adaptor in order to provide power to the charging cradle. Another solution is to buy a "power transformer" which is a box that plugs into the wall and steps down the voltage and provides an outlet that can be used to power multiple 110 devices. What ever you do, do not plug in a 110v only device into a 220v circuit. If you do, it will "fry" the electronics rendering them useless, but it could potentially even start a fire.
With regard to your lighting system, the Harmony will emulate just about any remote controlled system that uses an IR signal. You may just need to program that device into your remote. Since you will not always want lights on or off during a movie, I would teach the remote the the audio systems * key is the same IR command as your lighting system. That way you can control the lights at the push of a button, independent of that activity.
