How come brush doesn't spin while on vacuum cleaner

First of all, check that your belt isn't broken, it is a rubber belt that goes around one end of the brush and to the motor shaft. Next, check to see that on each end of the brush isn't clogged with hair and or dust fuzzy stuff. If so, you will have to remove the brush and take off each end and remove all debris, then reassemble and don't forget the rubber belt to the motor to make the brush turn. Good luck.

Motor bearings probably have run out of grease. Units like that can go bad after use over time.

Making loud high pitched noise

Sounds like something is clogged/blocking the intake hose. Pull off your bin & see if you can feel/see anything blocking that hose that everything goes thru.

VACCUUM SEEMS TOOST SOME OF ITS SUCTION POWER

How often have you changed the filters in the vacuum?-- and when was the last time you did it now?

Obviously emptying the dirt collecting chamber OFTEN helps the vacuum--
but then in addition, there are several filters-- are they clean?

Pull them out, tap and otherwise shake the dirt loose from them, until they are clean--
(Compressed air is great for this-- but you might not have that nearby, right?)
Do yo have another vacuum that might help you clean up the filters?
Or-- maybe it is time to replace all the filters?

Let us know how successful your efforts on the above turn out.

THE ROLLER BRUSH WILL NOT

Apparently something is binding the brush, keeping it from turning. Remove any string, hair, etc., that is wrapped around the brush. Removing the brush is the easiest way to do this, then cut the material through at one point.
While the brush is out, check the ends for signs of damage that may cause the brush to bind. Also, check the area the brush connects to.
Reattach the brush and try to spin it. If it spins freely, put your vacuum back together, with another belt, and try again.
If this doesn't work, I suggest a new/different vacuum.

I have a bissell momentum

Most likely your brush needs to be removed and cleaned. Clean all debris that might be in the bristles of the brush. You will see a holder for the brush on each end that holds it into the frame of the vacuum. The two holders should turn freely. If they do not, spray a bit of WD40 between the brush and the holders and rotate the holders around the brush. Doing this will clear up the most common occurring cause of the problem you are facing.
Good luck and feel free to contact me if you find this does not solve your problem.

Need to remove brush roller and belt ,how do I do

Flip the unit over, remove the screws holding the bottom cover in place and just lift the brush out. There might be screws holding the end bearings in place. NEVER oil the bearings.
