It sounds like the battery may be going bad, not holding a charge anymore, or the processor may be overheating and shutting itself down as a precaution. Some BIOS may have a temp reading if you enter the bios at boot up, usually by pressing del key or F1 key, it should tell you at reboot, right at the first second or two after power is turned on "press del key to enter setup" or something similar.
If your BIOS does not have a temp readout, you can download freeware temp reading tools from cnet.com.
Make sure that your fan is blowing out the port in the back and that it is not obstructed by something.
If it is none of these, you may have a virus, In which case, try the following:
While the system is booting --before the xp logo shows, hold down the F8 key. This will bring up a menu. Choose "start windows in safe mode with networking".
The os will start in safe mode. run a virus scan, defrag and scandisk, then restart the system. If is still wont run normally, do the same thing then run a registry fixing program such as uniblue registrybooster, then reboot. If it still won't run right, you may want to reinstall the OS and see if that works. If reinstalling the OS after formating the drive doesn't fix it, it is definitely a hardware problem. good luck.

download and instal the driver -
Have a look in device manager and see if you have an audio device Press the Windows key (bottom left of the keyboard} and at the same time press the R key, now in the search box that appears - type devmgmt.msc - look for sound devices, click on the + sign make sure a sound device is listed

if you bought the computer new and got a recovery disk it can reinstall drivers from recovery disk if not ur best option would be to get a recovery disk for ur type of windows

connect through the vga port of the laptop, then press Fn key and the key mark monitor on your laptop, F5 together

The unit powers on, the drum shows only 0005 hours on it, but the display says it has an "Error 02-454" Error Code, and says "REC Inhibit", and it will not accept a tape. When this unit is powered on it shows error code 02-454 which is:

From what I’ve been told this is a very easy fix for someone that knows how to work on these. It is a very clean machine, inside and out, and I am sure it is well worth getting serviced and put back in use

When you say play DVDs you mean watch DVD movies? Assuming the drive is not broken you need to use the DVD app. You could use VLC Player which you can download. It's an orange traffic cone icon.

Could be it has overheated and the NVidea chip is damaged. No idea why they are called laptops as to put them on a lap blocks the ventilation and they will overheat.

I found out in Google that this tablet has Windows 8 on it. You can install Facebook on it by going to the "Microsoft Store". If it didn't install, check if your operating system is 8.1 Let me know if that helps.
