Check the wiring legs on the machine where you put the new cord on and make sure that the wires are not touching each-other.

There is no spring inside the drum that may come off except for the spring and wire hoop assembly that securely holds the door seal to the outer lip of the door opening.


Check to make sure that this spring is in its proper position at the bottom of the door opening as shown in the photo above.

step 1- remove the face of the dryer, then remove the cover for the fan, check to see if object is blocking the fan, if object is there , remove object, if not go to step 2
step 2- check to see if the belt is broken, if the belt is broken replace the belt.
step 3 - remove the belt from the motor and turn the dryer on, if the motor doesn’t turn then you need to replace the motor.
These are the only causes.

Remove the lower panel on the back side .

turn the washer over on its side and look for a broken belt or broken direct drive coupler for the tub, this is how it spins.

You may have to change the heating element.

The rear drum support must be replaced.

Jane, check to make sure that the drain hose has a air gap in the drain. Sometimes you will get a siphoning effect if you don't have the gap or it is pushed down to far in the drain. If this is not your problem, it's probably a timer issue...Catriver..post back

The machine does not exist as you have written it. There are two likely reasons The door switch has failed and hasn't passed the self test procedure. or the control board / timer has failed. Try power cycling it. Remove the mains plug for an hour. It is has an On Off button press it for a minute. For a knob, full it and leave two minutes.
