LG TV no longer responds to the remote control..

I have had the exact same problem with my 47LG70 after 13 months of use. I changed my remote control sensor but it did not help. Before you do that, try something simple which seems irrelevant. On this website, others have posted success by plugging in any standing set of headphones into the remote control or headphone jack on the rear TV panel. This solved my problem. So I proceeded to thoroughly dust all of the input/output component jacks on the rear and side of the TV with an air-can. This solved my problem and I do not need to have the headphones plugged in. So try these two things before changing the sensor.

Medion lcd hd 31.5 inch tv won't turn on

I bought one also from ALDI for my son's Xbox 360, it is only 3 weeks in use and I have the same problem. The red led is on, indicating that it is in standby mode and recieving power but I can't turn it on either by pressing the power on button on the TV it's self or the on button on the remote. This started happening a few days ago and it's totally random. I found that if you unplug the TV from the power point or alternatively switch off the power point for a minute, than power it on again it will "WORK AGAIN" for a while. Like I said it is random, eventually it will return to the not being able to be switched on state at which time you will have to repeat the process. So thus, this is not really a solution. I am about to return the TV for a refund, and it's a shame because otherwise it's not too bad. and looks OK too.

Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Check it by pressing all the keys. You can detect the presence of infra-red emission from the remote control, using a cell-phone camera. If you wish to get more details about how to check a remote control, please visit this site. On/off problems with my LG 37LC7D TV. It is hooked up to Direct TV

You need to contact a local TV repair service, UNLESS you have the tools and the repair manual to repair it yourself, it will take diagnostic work to determine what is the cause, one thing is for sure you have a defective circuit board.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. I have a LG 37LC46 lcd tv. Power is going through the set but no picture. Just error message "not programmed" and then blank screen. Happened very suddenly please can you help?

When the screen goes blank, dim the lights in the room. Take a bright flashlight and shine it on the panel. If you see a faint picture, you have a backlight failure
