To do a factory reset (System reset); you have to enter its service mode option. Like older model TVs, there is no switch marked "Reset"; to latest model sets. If there is no blue light and no sound, then power is not making it into the unit. Is there a red light when it is plugged in? 3 Blinks means one of the buffer boards is bad. The way to test it is to unhooking one SDR board at a time, and see if half of your screen comes on properly. If the SDR-D board is bad the bottom half of the screen won't come on when you remove the board. Check its fuse at the main power supply regulator board.

There is no adjustment for that like old CRT tv's convergence rings. The set needs repaired.

The name of the part is probably "buffer board" and there are two in your TV - upper buffer and lower buffer, also called SDR-U and SDR-L boards.Those are the two most common sources of problems in P50S601 along with the Y sustain board (SD board in hitachi and Panasonic terminology), which sometimes gets damaged by the failed buffer board.In the buffer boards market there are all kinds of offerrings. Have a close look at the owner manual or Google the model for one as many sets have a LOCKOUT that locks both the remote and front/side buttons on the set out.

check the power supply look for bulging electrolytic capacitors then replace it with new one.

Servicing by opening the back cover should be performed only by a qualified service technician.
