It is probably a faulty valve..

I have the YLR2-5-96H2 and hot water stopped heating up. I unscrewed the casing and unplugged the connections to the circular heating element and 2 circular probes. Brushed off the white dust build up on the probes and it started to heat water again. I ruled out faulty heating element, because it got really hot just seconds after turning on the hot water switch.

Check power to relay. If yes, check compressor is working. If yes, keep your hand on discharge pipe. If it's not warm, cooler is under gas leak. Rectify leak and recharge gas.Thanks.
