Can't reset double sided printing to single side only as default

Exact same problem... took a couple of hours of fiddling but seems that to get it to stick you have to change the printer settings in windows rather than when you are actually printing a document. eg Control Panel > Printers > right click printer > Properties > (General tab) Printing Preferences > then for Double-Sided Printing select 'none' and press OK. Job done.

I could not samsung scx 3400 printer to my pc having 256 MB RAM

I suggest you install more RAM and do a hard disk maintenance before you install the printer driver. Hard disk maintenance should be carried once a month to make your computer run efficiently. This removes redundant and temporary files, recovers disk space and speed up hard disk access. Disk Cleanup should be done first - Click My Computer - then right click on the C drive then click Properties, then click Disk Cleanup - let it examine the C drive then it will calculate the amount of disk space it will recover, tick all the boxes to recover the maximum disk space and then Click OK and then Yes to perform these actions. If you have a D drive then repeat these steps on this drive too. Next the C drive needs to be Defrag. This process converts fragmented files into continuous files and this speeds up disk access and makes the hard disk not work as hard. Click on Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Disk Defragmenter - click to highlight the C drive and click Analyse - then click Defragment. When this is completed repeat these steps for the D Drive if you have a D drive. Disk Cleanup and Defrag can take a long time to complete, especially if these tasks have not been for a long time. http://www.fixya.com/support/r3559146-hard_disk_maintenance

Samsung scx-3400 keeps changing ip addresses

Depends on the router you have. Some routers you can set what they call a DHCP reservation for your printer. I'd like to give you specific instructions but it varies by manufacturer and some home/home office routers don't have the feature. Probably the easiest way if that isn't an option is to set the IP address on your printer to a static address. Then on your computers edit the hosts file in C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etcAdd an entry to your hosts file for your printer. Your PC will now ALWAYS know the IP address to the printer.Note: On windows 7 you may have to open an administrative command prompt to edit the hosts file. Is usually write protected for security reasons.
