Check for a break in the wires the sensor my not be reviewing the signal if the wire is broken sometimes the wire could be broke internally and not visually noticeable check with a voltage meter for continuity from the sensor to the board

My guess is a dry solder joint on the board or a bad connection to it. Or the control board itself is faulty.

check the little aluminum pully on the motor that the belt goes around if its real shiny where the belt wraps around it or the belt sets down in that pully instead of the belt running flush with the pulleys outside circumference that might be the problem pully might be worn and the dryer might be turning with small loads and not larger loads

check the door switch,if this switch is bad dryer wont work,this is a spdt type switch as it runs the drum light when doors open and lets machine start and operate with door closed

One of the checks this unit performs when it starts is the drum belt, if the belt has slipped, broke or stretched, it wont start. You have to remove the top of the unit to see the drum.

Is there a position on the dial showing a symbol for a tub with a line above it? if it has position this against the mark and switch on then the pump will empty the sump into the water container and the machine can then be reset for normal operation
