F2E1, F3E0 Error Codes

Believe it or not, but on my Whirlpool Estate (Model: TES400PXHQ0)....after reading about this error, I looked at the sensor, and I noticed it was touching the metal on the inside of my oven. I moved the sensor away just by pulling on it to the center of the hole that was cut out for it, plugged the oven in....and didnt get a code at all....not even the PF code. So, I tried the oven out....expecting for it to beep at any second, and it didnt!!!!

So, in conclusion.....I guess by the sensor touching the metal on the inside, it couldnt get an accurate reading, so the computer threw out the infamous F3E0 error.

I've had this oven for 4 months and always had to stare at the F3E0 display (it was donated to me). Thanks for all who had done the research on this to point me in the right direction, as Whirlpool wanted someone to come out at $60 just to come out, then $80/hr!

Thanks again

F1e2 error code

F1E2 error code usually refers to something with the control board. I do not have info before me, but believe the board has to be replaced.Package info somewhere inside your stove will give you the explanation of that error code.It does not hurt to unplug the stove for fifteen minutes/turn it on again and see what the error code is, if any.

I get F2 at the end of the preheat cycle and when

Hi cinderelly,

The reason why you are having this problem with your Whirlpool is because F2 error coed means that oven temperature is too high. Here's what you can do to solve the problem:

1. Look for welded relay contacts on bake or broil relays. If this happens, replace oven control (also called clock or ERC).

2. For SELF CLEAN models: check door lock operation.

3. Look for a high resistance connection or any other cause of high resistance in the oven temperature sensor circuit. Check sensor, sensor harness and sensor harness connection at sensor and oven control. Replace sensor if found defective.

Remember: Oven control (ERC) measures resistance of sensor circuit, not actual oven temperature.

You may contact Sears for the replacement part at 1-800-252-1698; M-F 6:30 AM-10:30 PM - Sat 7:00 AM-9:30 PM - Sun 7:30 AM-9:30 PM - All times Central. Just get your model number ready when you call.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Whirlpool accubake sf367lxsq top burners work oven

You need to check for continuity between the bake relay output terminals and the broil relay output terminals. If the bake/broil function is supposed to be on and there is no continuity, your board must be replaced/repaired. The company I work for, ApplianceTimers.com can repair your failed board. If there is continuity, you have a shorted external wire(s) or element.

Our gas oven will heat

The first thing you need to do is check the temperature sensor, which should be 1100 ohms at room temperature (plus or minus 5%). If it is accurate, you probably need to fix the control board. You can send in your board to appliancetimers.com for repair.

Oven lites but will not stay lit. I replaced the

Sounds like the thermocouple is faulty. This is the safety device that is in the flame and is connected to the valve. Its designed to detect that the gas is lit and if it doesn't heat up then it closes the valve off, it is gas filled and has probably leaked. You will need a registered gas installer to change this part as it is a vital safety device for safe operation of gas.

Whrilpool gas range, when starting the oven

I am sure it must be mechanical linked. In other words see if you can spray some WD-40 into the area of the locking mechanism.(not into the oven area) Any type of oil spray with a nozzle will work also. Operate the device back and forth a few times to see if it frees up. It might just have a little "gunk" that is holding it up. Let me know if this works and thanks for using FixYa.

My Whirlpool SF367LXSS oven does not work on bake

Hi,

Check the gas valve to see if it is getting power to open it....if it is then it has gone bad...

The ignitors can also cause this but not likely that both will go at once...

Also many oven/broilers have a separate regulator and that could be locked up... often because of high incoming gas pressure...

How to replace the glass for whirlpool oven serial

This advice is for Electric Ranges equipped with glass smooth tops. If it becomes necessary to replace the cook top due to wear or damage, here's some helpful tips on how to complete the repairs yourself. NOTE: Cook tops are NOT cheap. Prices vary between models, but most are in the $200 to $300 range. With added labor charges, this repair can cost over $600 from an appliance repair company.

WARRANTIES: Most warranties DO NOT cover cosmetics. That is, if your cooktop paint starts to wear off, most manufacturers will not replace it. Warranties also DO NOT cover accidents such as dropping something on the top and breaking it. Warranties DO cover blistering, warping and heat related breakage (if you are using the recommended cookware). This is why it is important to follow all the manufacturer's use and care instructions that come with your range. I know this does not include ALL manufacturers, but this is true with most.

This is a recommended two-person repair job. Please read through the instructions carefully before starting the repairs, and follow any safety recommendations.

1. UNPLUG the range before servicing. There are dangerous voltages still present even with burners turned off.
2. If the old cook top is broken, you will need to get rid of a much of the glass shards as you can and thoroughly vacuum the area around the oven box. Use extreme care when handling broken glass. Wear safety glasses and gloves.
3. There are a few screws located under the front edge of the cook top. You will need to open the oven door to see them. Remove these screws and the top should lift up. If the range is not equipped with any kind of hinge supports, the top will have to be propped up.
4.On some ranges, there is a disconnect plug for the surface element wiring harness. If you have this feature, Follow these steps:

1. Unplug the cook top and leave the elements in place.
2. Place the whole cook top assembly face-down on a soft surface (like some old towels, or a blanket).
3. Remove the surface element assembly leaving all the elements wired together.
4. Place the new cook top face down in the same manner and lay the surface element with wiring harness directly on to it and screw in place.
5. Install the new cook top back on the range and you are DONE.

5. If the wiring harness does NOT unplug, follow these steps:

1. There are a series of screws holding the element assemblies in place. Leave these assemblies wired together for ease of replacing. It is recommended that a second person holds the assemblies in place to support the wires until all the screws have been removed.
2. Lay the intact element assembly, with wires still connected, on top of the oven box. Handle the surface elements with care. They are very fragile. Care also must be taken not to handle the element coils or ceramic material. Try to handle from the underside of the element only. Oil from your hands can cause damage to the element and/or premature failure.
3. If you have to remove the elements, individually, make sure you write down how the wires were connected to ensure you reconnect them in the right order. Make sure you also take note of the numbering scheme on the element and make sure you place the mounting brackets in the same holes that they came out of. Use care when screwing into the new cook top. CAUTION: The screw holes are usually painted and a little force may be required to thread the screws. Do not apply too much pressure on the glass, or you can damage it.
4. Prop the new cook top in place and install the surface element assembly from underneath. A helpful hint: Use some duct tape to hold the assembly until you have screwed it back into place. Don't forget to remove the duct tape when completed.
5. Lower the new cook top into place and secure with screws.

Igniter won't stop

Normally you would find the switch that is stuck in the "ON" position by carefully removing one wire at a time, taking care not to get bit. LOLb2adc18.jpg

Looks like you might need Number 5.

Your model does not sell individual switches.
