SOUND GOES IN AND OUT.CAN'T TURN IT DOWN WHEN ON

Try a "REBOOT" Reset, Initialization & Option Menu Front Panel Reset & Initialization Many customer generated symptoms, intermittent symptoms or symptoms that cannot be duplicated can be resolved by performing resets or initialization from the front panel. To avoid making nuisance service calls that may not be covered under the warranty, ask the customer to perform the following functions before going to their home. The most common are: • System Reset (Re-boot) • A/V Reset (Resets Customer Audio/Video Settings) • Initialization (Resets all customer options, settings and menu items) Use the Front Panel Guide as a reference to quickly perform the desired function. Note: Button location may differ by model. The Reset - Initialization Guide details all resets and initialization functions. Front Panel Guide FRONT PANEL 1) SYSTEM RESET1 - Reboots Set (Same as Cycling AC Power) Power LED will flash for about 1 minute. 2) A/V RESET2 <FORMAT+GUIDE> Resets all Customer Audio/Video Settings FORMAT GUIDE INPUT ENTER CANCEL SYSTEM RESET MENU VOLUME ADJUST CH ADJUST 3) INITIAL2 <FORMAT+INPUT> Resets all Customer Menu and A/V Settings LED DIAGNOSTICS3 <INPUT+MENU> In case of failure, a 2 digit error code will be indicated by the POWER/TIMER LED. 1 Perform while the set is either On or Off. (See section on LED Diagnostics) 2 Perform while the set is On. 3 Perform while the set is Off.

try a new PHILLIPS blub and see if it helps. DO NOT use a neolux--they will NOT work right !!

Looses color after playing for short time. color comes back after turning off for awhile

First see if it does this with a DVD etc connected--rules some things in and out.Most of these have two resets, the soft and the hard-----if it has the soft with the Mitsubishi remote: (set on) Menu, 1,2,3 enter.I would not do the reset if no issue with a DVD etc.

I have a dlp 73in mitsubishi tv and i have sparking in the long box next to the bulb housing

check to see if the lamp connectors inside the lamp compartment didnt get pushed back inside the set. If they are still there secure inside the lamp compartment then you will need a new ballast which you can get from www.tvrepairworld.com

Screen turned dull shade of

check the ic in the color circuit or the resistor that connects to the collector of the kine transistor.these components can be faulty.probably it is a module so you might need to replace the module that has on the color circuit check the transistor also.good luck.

After tv is on, all is fine, after 30-45 minutes,

Just curious if you resolved this issue by replacing the lamp. I have the exact same problem.

Where can i find a

The way that you change the color on this TV is thru the audio/video menu, under Perfect Color. It show you how in your owners manual on page 74. If you no longer have the owners manual you can downloaded it here http://www.mitsubishi-tv.com/pdf/ownersguides/WD-73732.pdf
