I get a ERR: DIM MISMATCH when I try to use graph an inequality using the inequalz app
Your TI-84 Plus displays the ERR:DIM MISMATCH error if you are trying to perform an operation that references one or more lists or matrices whose dimensions do not match. For example, multiplying L1*L2, where L1={1,2,3,4,5} and L2={1,2} produces an ERR:DIM MISMATCH error because the number of elements in L1 and L2 do not match

Black screen
Turn the calculator on. Press and release the 2ND key. Press and hold the Up-arrow key for a few seconds to darken the screen or the Down-arrow to lighten and see whether the screen becomes legible. If you go too far, repeat with the 2ND and the other direction arrow key.

Screen just went blank - can bearly see a faint box in the screen
TI calculators have an annoying habit of dimming the screen when the batteries are changed so that it appears as if the calculator isn't turning on. Turn the calculator on (or at least press the ON key). Press and release the 2ND key. Press and hold the Up-arrow key for a few seconds and see whether the screen becomes legible.

I am afraid you cannot do that with the TI83/84 Plus SE. The newer OS allows you to get results expressed as fractions, but not radicals. Sorry.

Not sure what the problem is; sometimes
When calculating trigonometric functions you should pay attention to the angle unit used. The TI84 PLUS/SE can use two units: the radian and the degree, As to rounding I do not see why it would ruin your answers which are approximate anyway. Just choose float whithout specifying the number of decimal digits, then when a result is displayed round it yourself to the desired accuracy. To set the angle unit press MODE, then use down arrow to move highlight to the line RADIAN DEGREE and select the one you want.
