TI-84 Plus, Garbage Collecting.....
There is an easier way. No deleting anything involved. When you turn on your calculator and it says "Garbage Collecting" take out all 4 AAA batteries. Then, either put those same 4 back in, or replace them with 4 new ones. Then, hold down the -CLEAR- button, and then at the same time, press on. If your batteries are almost dead, nothing will pop up but it will look like the screen is kind of flashing. New batteries will fix that problem in a jiffy, and then brand new calculator :) Worked for me, hope this helps!

Graphing inverse equations
Hello,
In parametric mode you are not drawing one function, but two functions X1(T) and Y1(T). If you use the DrawInv( command either on X1(T) or Y1(T) you get a syntax error.
However if you are drawing functions in Funct mode you can draw the inverse of the function that has been graphed.
Here is how you do it.
[2nd][Draw][8: DrawInv] [ENTER]
The command appears on the home screen, and you need to tell it the function it will act on. To do so press
[VARS] --> Y-Vars [1:Function]
and select the function you want, say Y1, if Y1 has already been defined.
DrawInv Y1 [ENTER]
Both Y1 and its inverse will be drawn.
Hope it helps.

What does "invalid dim" mean?
The ERR:INVALID DIM error message may occur if you are trying to graph a function that does not involve the stat plot features. The error can be corrected by turning off the stat
plots. To turn the stat plots off, press {2nd}[stat plot], and then select 4:PlotsOff.

I am using a TI-84 Plus graphical calculator. How do I use my GC (plysmlt2) to solve a derivative? eg. d/dx(x^6+x^4)=0
There is a command called nDeriv( which you find in the catalog. To open the catalog of commands press [SHIFT][0] (CATALOG), then scroll down or press N to jump to the 1st command starting with N.Highlight the command then press ENTER. The command echoes on the main screen. Type in the function you want to differentiate, type in a comma to separate, type the name of the vatriable (X), then type in the value at which the derivative is to be evaluated. Close the right parenthesis, then press ENTER.This is what you see with the newer OS that has MathPrint
With the newer OS with MODE set to Classic, here is what you see.
Hope it helps.

I can not get the Y2, Y3, Y4, etc. to work on my TI-84 Plus
If you have used the Transfrm app before it remains in memory and prevent drawing more than one function. Tou must uninstall it. Press Apps, select Transfrm, and run it. You will get a screen where you are asked to continue or uninstall. Select Uninstall and press Enter. After unistalling Transfrm you will be able to graph more than one function,

I can't see the shortcut menus. When I press
I just had this problem: shortcut menus used to work, but stopped, with TI Version 2.55 MP. I discovered that running the preloaded app PlySmlt2 (others work, too) and quitting it fixed the problem, but that later running a non-TI app caused the problem again. So the non-TI app may be misbehaving, as suggested in this
TI knowledge base article.
