Vip622 rebooting, fan always running on high / No Video
Hi! I am sorry to hear about the frustration that you experience from the tech support of dish network. If you already talk to this guys for 90 minutes do different troubleshooting steps, Did they ask you if your receiver is plug in to a power strip or surge protector? If your receiver is plug in to a surge protector or power strip, please unplug it from the surge protector or power strip for 1minute. then plug in directly to the power outlet. Sometime the power strip or surge protector dont give the 100% current needed by the dvr. just to isolate the problem, connect the dvr to the power outlet and plug in after 1 minute. if the receiver dont boot up it just turn on the green light and turn off by itself. there is a problem from the power supply of the dvr. just in case it turn on and it shows attention 015, press the menu button on the remote and it will show the main menu, press 6,1,1 on the remote and it will go to point dish,once its on point dish, selct check switch, then on the next page selct test, it will run the test up to 1 of 3 or 4 it depends on the condition of the sat dish, once its done, it will show the installation summary screen, it should show the 3 sat or 4 depends on how many you have, ex, 119, 110, 129, or 77, 72, 61.5, once all sat are all ok, selct done, then select done on the point dish and cancel all the way out of the menu and you will see attention 015, it should finish the progress and download the programming guide, and it should show a picture on the tv screen, just in case the problem still exist, call 1-800-333-3474 and ask for a supervisor and explain to the supervisor that you talk to the tech for 90 minutes and also tellthe sup that you did the troubleshooting step that i mention to you but the problem still exist.. the problem is with the dvr, pls feel free to get in touch if you have any query..
