Hello. If you haven't changed the lamp lately, or if you used an aftermarket lamp, that could be the problem. If the lamp is ok, the ballast may have a bad capacitor. A bad capacitor will be puffed up on top. The ballast can be found by following the leads from the lamp. If it's not those, then the color wheel could be defective, and you might be able to hear it making a noise. I hope that helps.

Most likely needs a new lamp. Easily done yourself.

Would you be able to provide the model number of your TV to provide you with more info? If your TV is a DLP, the lamp would need to be replace to get the picture working again.

Most likely the temp sensor above the lamp housing. Jump the blue and white wire plugged into it and bypassing sensor and the tv should work.

Had this problem it is cosd by a befect in a chip call compy and thay will repace for free........no matter how old your set is take care

To begin someone needs to open and look at the power board for signs of any damaged parts or puffed up filter caps, this is where to begin, if you are not able to do that consider getting it looked at by a tech or a shop.

Either something has to be done to clear that error or the set is detecting something.I have a comment/suggestion here. that error may be misleading you, when you replaced the fan was there a noticeable amount of dust in the set---not like inside a carpet vac but noticeable.I have seen this before in more than one set and brand---first thing we do is roll set outside (I know its getting to be winter) and with the cover off use compressed air and dust the whole set out--don't do it inside as even if set looks fairly dust free it may look like a dust storm when you do this.I have seen many where units were dead or shutting down etc where once the air channels (unit takes in air from front and exhausts it toward the rear) I have a working set with no issues.this is from experience and I hope it may help.SD TECH

Usually this will be on top or either side and the problem is the optical light engine is damaged from heat----seen about a dozen.

The set may have a lamp timer built in and the owner manual will explain how with the remote resetting that.

The set has a color wheel which may be bad, it often makes a high pitched or fan like sound prior to failure--it can even be a grinding noise.I would with set unplugged remove the lamp cartridge and look where it faces---the color wheel can be seen.What you are looking for is wheel shattered or missing any of the colored segments? If wheel does not turn or runs too slow set will detect this and shut lamp off etc.

Was the trouble exactly the same before lamp and wheel were replaced?If lamp comes on for 3 minutes what do you see on the screen?the more you tell me the better I can assist you.

That is a clicking noise came from the relay. This kind of symptoms is an indication of faulty electrolytic capacitor on the power supply board. Inspect the encircled capacitor, most of the faulty electrolytic capacitor bulged at the top, if you can't see any bulged or dome at the top you must have a capacitor checker to determine its condition.Replacing the entire power supply board is another option if you are not comfortable in electronics.

If the hum came in front of the lamp housing, the fault came from the faulty color wheel. Replace this part and your unit will back to normal operation again.

I had this problem. It cut off and front panel lights were blinking. Replaced bulb with a phillips OME bulb. Part # is on TV. Cost was about $100.

You have a power supply circuit issue.
Possibly a component in the primary side of the power regulating circuit for power on is weak or defective.
You unit will require a tech to look at the power section of your TV.

Bad lamp again. The lamp life is not dependent on install date but more the amount of use. Ebay for the lamps, a lot of the time you can get them 50% off for refurbs.
