Do you mean that you are getting no sound from your speakers when someone is talking? Is your audio device installed correctly and does it have the sound selected for the relevant device?

TRY WITH A OTHER MONITOR MAKE SURE THE CABELS ARE SEATED TIGHT AND FIRMLY.

It is more than likely the power supply that is faulty. Newer PSU's have a 5volt supply missing, this means that some older boards will not run with the new PSU's. Try and find an exact match for your older supply but with a better power rating, if that is what is required.
