You got it right - the Kodak EasyShare 5300 All-in-One uses 10 series Kodak cartridges, and
since your box says 10B+10C, it has (2) 10-series cartridges in it - one 10-series Black (10B), and
one 10-series Color cartridge (the 10C).

The 10 Series Ink cartridges are compatible with:
EasyShare 5000 series (your All-in-One belongs here)
ESP 3/5/7/9
ESP 3200/5200/7200/9200 Series
ESP Office 4100/6100

Download the software for your Printer

Installation Instructions
  1. Verify that your computer meets the system requirements. note.gif WINDOWS XP Operating System, 64-bit, is not supported.
  2. Disconnect your all-in-one printer from your computer.
  3. Verify that you logged on to the computer using the administrator account.
  4. Close all programs.
  5. Download the software onto your computer.
  6. Double-click the *.exe file, then follow the on-screen instructions.
  7. When the installation is complete, connect your all-in-one printer to your computer.
  8. Select Start > Programs > Kodak > Kodak AiO Home Center.

Error 3501 indicates a hardware error. The only way to fix it is to it repaired if it's out of warranty or replaced if it's in-warranty. Bring it to a Kodak Service Center.

Error 3808 keeps comin up

To resolve this error:
  1. Disconnect the power adapter from the printer.
  2. Wait 30 seconds to allow the printer to reset.
  3. Connect the power adapter to the printer. Turn on the printer, if necessary.
If the error continues:
  1. Open the printer access door.
  2. Remove and install the printhead two times. see this link:

  4. Close the printer access door.
  5. Wait until the printer is ready to use.

Based on the comments you posted. You already replaced the cartridges and cleaned the heads. This should resolved the issue right away. Try to unistall all the software and drivers related to this printer from you computer and reinstall it again.

Seems like your yellow cartridge is either empty or faulty. Try cleaning the printer head (through the software) and also physically that nothing is blocking the cartridge. You may need to change the yellow ink cartridge.

When I print pictures on my Kodak 5300 printer

If they are white lines keep trying to clean the print head. If they are black lines you need to physically clean the bottom of the print heads with a damp cloth.

Print head is clogged. An ink jet printer needs to be used at least once a month or you risk this happening. Keep trying to clean print head.

Can I receive faxes on this machine? I know I can

Yes...make sure the main phone line in goes into the back and then the line out goes to your phone. If you have an answering machine you may need to turn that off for the incoming faxes. I hope this is what you was looking for and thanks for using FixYa.

My Kodak easy share 5300

Clean the print head then print a demo sheet.

  1. Verify that inkjet paper is loaded in the paper trays.
  2. On your desktop, start the KODAK All-in-One Home Center, then select the Help [?] icon.
  3. From the Help menu, select Maintenance, then select Print head Cleaning. The On/Off light flashes green during the cleaning procedure.
  4. When the On/Off light glows a steady green, press Photo and Copy simultaneously to print a demo sheet.
If the Demo print is bad- IE: no black, blurry print etc., then you may need to replace the print head:
