Samsung Digimax S630 Digital Camera Questions & Answers
My Samsung S630 digital camera has or should I say
Do NOT for any reason use the camera again to take pictures. If it has an internal memory, take it out and, if you need to use the camera, replace it with another compatible one.
Now if you can either mount the camera as USB disk, or you can extract the memory (SD card, stick, etc.) and plug it in the appropriate reader to see it as a disk drive, then you can run RECUVA (from Piriform) and you should be able to recover most of your images, unless:
1) Other data have been written on the memory (that's why I told you not to use the camera)
2) The memory card has been "securely deleted", something I think nobody therearound would do or even know how to do
3) The original, full memory card inside has been taken out and swapped with another (it happened to me once. My Canon and my Palm have compatible SD cards. I inadvertently swapped them). So your data are safe and sound -- maybe in a drawer somewhere :-)

Yes. Do not try and do anything with the card in the camera. Remove it.
You need to connect the card to a USB card reader, and connect that to your computer.

At this price point, they really are not worth investing time and labor required to attempt repair. Sometimes it simply makes more sense to dispose of the old and purchase new.
Do not hav disc to put in computer does not recognise camera
You might want to consider getting a card reader instead. Once the memory card is inserted into the card reader, the card will appear as a disc and you can simply drag-and-drop your pictures like any other file. It will also be faster than going through a USB cable.
