How old is the tv set also do you have it plugged up to a power cord? Can you tell me how many times does the light blink thank you.

There should be some loose connection or dry solder in the power supply board. Resolder all such points. Capacitors can not cause this problem unless at least one of their legs is loose. Also tighten all the connctors and cables.Good luck.

your CCFL LCD backlight is weak. check also inverter.

One of two general answers----look to see if screws all around the back of the set--if so set must be safely laid face down(no pressure on screens) and base removed first then the screws. Also some sets in addition have tabs around the back cover that snap the back on---use a thin metal putty knife and probe to snap them loose----left to right etc.

Download the service manual to this set by internet. It will have all details.

You can solve this type of problem by opening the television, but caution must be taking to ensure proper troubleshooting, because the panel contains high voltages.
Problem is in either power supply or the Y-Sustain board.

The Y-Sustain is a relatively large board out of which go connections to the side of the display; it's therefore closer to either the left or the right side of the display, has at least one rather large heat sink on it and fat power cables connecting it to the main power supply.

Often there are fuses on that board - one or more. Check those.

if they are blown you can try to replace them, but expect them to blow again - usually the whole board needs to be replaced.

often that needs to be done in a service center as there are some adjustments to be made after replacement.

Go into your sound settings in your menu and tell it to audio output to headphones. The reason it does that is because headphones are not set as a default so they only work when plugged in after its on and recognized.

Hi, this could be a problem with the power supply in the tv, it is common to samsungs and repair kits are available quite cheaply if you have good soldering skills.

Usually this is caused by capacitors that have dried up and split, you can normally tell as the capacitors are bulging on the pcb, you can get them in a kit as I said eBay sometimes do them or you can buy them indivually from a good electronics components supplier, make sure you get the correct values for each!! marked on the side of the capacitors in xx/v V, xxx/x uF and 105oC.

The picture below shows the type of theing that happens, the brown ones are bulging/split on the top whereas the black one is fine.
