that's always a possibility but not always the case. The thermostat may not be cycling correctly or set wrong. The condenser could be dirty or if there is a fan, it may not be running. Freeze ups can also cause an "Out of temp." condition. Check it out.

The longer my DWC283BLS runs, the warmer it

it may also be a blockage so look for a R/A engineer to check for both leakage and blockage.

Need to replace the fan in the upper compartment.

you must try from insyde, all my model's have acces from inside. you dont have a seal, remove carrefuly to not bent somethig and it will be ok. I presume that fan is an tangetial fan (that kind of fan have all my wine cooler's) you will need a screwdriver phillips and maybe a wrench.

Compressor is very hot to the touch and hums

Could be a defective thermostat, or you could have placed your cooler in a area without adequate ventilation.

Recently I moved my Danby

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. To reset the unit you’ll need to switch it off, unplug the switch from the power socket and mains and let it off at least 8-10 hours to resolve the issue. If still the issue persists and as you are able to hear the compressor and fan working you’ll need to check that there is no leakage in the system. The top fan will only function when it’s too cold and the heater is in on position.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Rylee

Danby wine cooler compresser not running and is hot

The compressor needs to be tested to see if it's operational. This normally needs to be done by a service tec.

E4 message

Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet and wait 30 minutes before pluging back in. This should clear all settings on the cooler.

Noisy Wine Fridge

The problem is likely with one of the two fans. A new fan is available from Danby (1-800-263-2629). My noisy fan is the condensor fan located at the bottom rear of the device. After removing the cooler from under the cabinet, the source of the noise was obvious. You will need to tell them whether it is the upper fan or lower fan. Leave the cooler upright for a few hours before you plug it in so that you do not damage the condenser. Price for the fan from Danby is $20.15 including shipping. Hi,

YOU MIGHT HAVE A FAULTY COMPRESSOR (MOTOR) OR A GAS LEAK.LET ME NO IF YOU NEED FUTHER ASSISTANCE ALSO THE VENTALATION COULD CAUSE IT AS YOU SAY THAT IT IS BUILT INTO THE CABINITS SO REMOVE IT

OR

If the motor are running the gas level are too low . if the motor are not running check the thermostat. if there are power by the motor and stil not running then it is the motor

OR

Does the compressor run or shut off when it gets to 55 &57? Leave unplugged over night and try again..
