Is your dryer electric or gas. If electric, check your fuse box first thing. If it is an older model and your home has an older fuse box, and the boxes uses the big bullet type fuses for the 220 line, one or both fuses could be bad. If so, go buy two new fuses and give it a t;ry.
If the ignitor is glowing and shuts down but the gas don't come out AND you have paid the gas bill, replace the solenoids. This is a common problem on all late model gas dryers with some age on them. If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/dan_73bbd84fe1d95b61
Well the error would def be associated with a sensor of some sort. It would not give an error for worn glides or squeaky bearings. I imagine it has to do with overheating. I would do the basics: clear the vent and check the lint filter. Find the tech sheet and consult it for the error codes and solutions. Get some windex and clean the sensors inside the dryer so that they can detect moisture. Call and see if you have warranty on this machine: 1-800-626-2000 If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/dan_73bbd84fe1d95b61
The squeak that you hear can be coming from a worn out belt
that should be replace to solve this issue. Hope this helps...please post back
for further assistance.
You already have discovered the problem. Lint has built up in the vent / exhaust ducting. Most of the time the through the wall vent flapper gets lint build up on it outside the house and then as that restricts airflow you get condensation in the ducting. The condensation causes the lint to form a cake like paste inside the ducting. THOROUGHLY Clean out your vent ducting from the dryer connection all the way thru the outside wall and your dryer will be fine. If you need to replace the ducting please do so. Ducting is cheaper than the electricity you waste on clogged ducting. You proved your dryer will work correctly when you dried a load of clothes with the ducting removed.
your going to hate me now? if the dryer motor is humming its poped its clogs on you and you will need a mew motor fitted,,,the motor has two windings in it one of them is the starter winding some use a big capasitor that holds lots of volts to give this winding a realy hard kick to start the motor turning wonce its spinning the seconed winding can keep the motor spinning if a capasitor is fitted it could be that thats packed up but normaly its the first winding burnt out,,,
now your totally bored with me,,, you just found out you hate me as well
