HP PSC 1410 All-In-One InkJet Printer - Page 9 Questions & Answers
How do i remove the
Hi,
It is very simple to remove the cartridges out from the printer if the printer is not in a error state.
Printer should be Powered on.
Open the front access door ( not the scanner lid )
The carriage which holds the cartridges should automatically move to center.
To remove the cartridge, Press the cartridge down ( with thumb ) and pull it out.
Do the same for other cartridge too.
If for any reasons you are not able to see the carriage in center position, try to move it manually in center to remove the cartridges.
IF none of the above steps help you remove the cartridges or the carriage is stalled on right side or left side, there are likely chances the printer is Defective.
Thank you for contacting FixYa.

When I start my HP PSC 1410, the printer
Hi there maximum time we found it is a the head problem. The print head is what the cartridges sit in inside of the printer. For resolve the problem please follow these.
Open the printer and wait for the carriage to slide over. Some how if its not come then Unplug the printer & Manually slide the carriage.
Now Remove the ink cartridges from the print head & Use wet warm cotton swab or use alcohol to thoroughly clean the print head.
Repeat this until there is no ink residue coming off on the cotton swab. After finished it make the head dry then fix it back. Now Try to print something now
If that does not work then follow the next step.
Remove the printer data cable & restart the PC & printer. Then fit back the data cable & turn on the printer. Hope that's start working , if no luck then Uninstall the printer driver & restart the PC & Printer both again. Now install the driver of the printer and connect it with PC ,Turn on printer & go for a test print from the printer preference. Thanks & waiting for your reply.
Can't scan
Assuming
you're using Windows XP, you either need to install the full software
suite (to access copy, scan, fax and print features), or if you don't
have the CD, download the package here:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software9/COL19845/mp-52268-4/100_228_PS_AIO_02_Full_Net_enu.exe
I don't have many more details. We put in a new
Uninstall the printer. Goto Control Pannel - Printers and Faxes and delete the printer.
Re-install the printer. This would fix any issues with the drivers and setting.
Hope this helps

I can't get a connection
Did you install the printe? If so depending of your OS try to find printer and faxes in your PC and "add a printe " at the menu Window bar.
I have faced a problem
This could be any number of things, personally I'd go with an updated driver installation, go to
http://welcome.hp.com/country/uk/en/support.html and get an updated driver with software and try that, I'd be happy to bet that it should work (as long as you choose the one for the correct operating system!)
If it doesnt work then you have a problem with your registry (although this is uncommon and I'd be surprised) - have you used any form of 'registry mechanic/booster/repair'? - these seriously muck things up and you may need to system restore back to before you used the program if you have.
Anyway I'm sure its just the driver/software file, best of luck!
