HP PSC 1410 All-In-One InkJet Printer - Page 3 Questions & Answers
My HP PSC 1410 cannot detect Windows 7 c
First of all I would recommend getting the most up to date Windows 7 drivers for the printer from here:http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=441115If your PC does still not see the printer I recommend running through my article/video guide for getting a printer online linked below:http://www.refreshcartridges.co.uk/igloo/how-to-make-your-offline-printer-online-windows-7/Hope this helps.

PROGRAM OPENS AUTOMATICALLY WHEN I OPEN COMPUTER AND I DO NOT WANT IT TO DO THIS
You may Download CCleaner to disable the starup.http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner
To control which programs start with Windows:
- In CCleaner, click the Tools icon at left, then click the Startup button.
- In the Startup screen, you'll see a list of all items that have been set to start automatically with Windows. Those that have been disabled will be grayed out and will state "No" in the Enabled column.
- Do one of the following:
- To prevent a program from starting with Windows, select the program entry and click Disable.
- To prevent a program from starting with Windows and to remove it from the auto-start list, select the program entry and click Delete.
Note: You can select multiple startup items by using CTRL+Click.
My HP PSC 1410 is in chinese, how do I change the language?
I believe that you would select the "language" during the driver and software installation.Un-install / Remove the printer; Disconnect it, then reboot a couple of times.Put in the install disk, (or launch the exe if you downloaded it.)and re-install the drivers.[Note: if you *DID* download the drivers, you may not have downloaded the "english" version, but the Chinese version instead....just a thought.]Tallon41
Printer
First pull down the paper out tray and open the cartridge cover. Then I would advise unplugging the printer to minimise risk of getting your fingers caught in the workings. This should leave you free to move the carriage or anything else obstructing it and get the cartridge free.
Scanning
In order to scan, the computer HAS to be ON. The purpose of scanning is making a DIGITAL copy of what ever you have on hardcopy. Which means, you should have saved it on the computer. And if the SCANNER is off, you can still access the scanned picture or item. However, the computer CANNOT be off, as that is where the picture should have been stored.
Any other questions?
PS to find the picture you have saved, go into the search for files and folders for a PC, and type in the name you saved it under. If you don't remember the name, look under the folder where the scanned copy is. I would look under your printer icon and its folder. Good luck!
HP PSC 1410 All-In-One printer speed is slow
Hello Sir,
I would like to provide you few workaround steps, you may try to improve the printing speed on the computer.

(2) Delete all the files that are listed over there.
If Windows Vista:

(2) Delete all the files listed under temporary files folder.
Another Workaround:

Firmware psc 1400
There are three 1410 models, the 1410, 1410v and 1410xi. The firmware and drivers for all of them can be found here: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/ProductList.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=135&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=436453Once you've selected your model, make sure you choose the appropriate operating system! EG Windows 7 32-bit, Windows XP x64, etc. If you are not sure what operating system you are using, you can check it in Windows by pressing <Win>+<R> (<Win> is the button that normally pulls up your start menu)When you do that, a little box with the name "Run" will come up. Type in "control panel" and press enter. In the Control Panel, find the option for System, (Under System and Security in Vista and Windows 7) if you can't find it, look for a computer screen icon and check the options there.Click on system and it will display your Windows edition.Hope this helps!
