to start with get rid of win xp it is so far out of date that the manufacturer web site probably doesn't have a driver for that OS

It is highly unlikely that anything has entered the lens. You would not need to dismantle to clean. Wipe clear with the lens from outside. Wipe clear the eye piece as well. Otherwise is the recording head that needs to be cleaned.

ich bitte Sie um Hilfe für einen Treiber für meinen Mini-DV-Panasonic-Camcorder NV-GS17
(24 x optical zoom)-weil ich sonst keine DV-Inhalte auf den PC übertragen kann,-weil der
o.a.Camcorder nicht vom System erkannt wird!Eine Verknüpfung wird nicht anerkannt!?
Oder gibt es eine andere Lösung für mein Problem???

The most likely cause for this is a damaged or defective flexible ribbon cable that connects the LCD to the camera body and can be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired by a qualified service technician.

You will need a Panasonic USB cord and the appropriate driver. If you do not have the CD/driver for this camcorder you can download a free version from panasonic. com
