Make sure the shutoff valves are both open. Try changing the water level and wash/rinse selector.

Unfortunatly this is normal for the neptune washers and there is no solution other than to use the machine often so the water does not stagnate.

Barrel ? The inner spin basket or the outer tub ? Both require a lot of work. But everything has be removed, disconnected and or replaced. Front panel, door, rear panel, pulley, belt, flip up the top, all hoses and harnesses, top and bottom, front tub cover, bellows, un lip from the outer tub, cement block for weight, shocks on bottom and springs on top !

Janie, It sounds like your evacuation pump is clogged, and needs cleaning or needs to be replaced. Some front loaders have a clean out in the front lower left of the machine 's cabinet. You'd need to check with your mfg owners manual to see if your model has a clean out for the evacuation pump which pumps the water out of the machine. Old rubberized bathroom carpets, and other fraying items like towels torn into rags, can lose enough material to clog up the pump impeller or freeze it until the motor burns out trying to turn against a bunch of foreign materials like these. When a dryer usually produces visable water from any part of it's self, the suggestion would be a completely restricted vent line. Such restrictions could be from nests from animals, excess lint, a dip in the vent hose causing lint and water to collect. Since the dryer is leaking water, it is heating and therefore creting steam in an effort to dry the cloths, with a clogged vent the steam has no where to escape to and thus condenses within the dryer and leaks out. The vent needs to be checked by a wualified vent servicing company from the back of the dryer to the point of exit of the home. Pleazer Appliance...

check your vent outside maybe buried in snow?never seen that before sure its not the washer leaking towards dryer?

If this is a combination washer dryer (model number starts with MLE). First disconnect the power to the unit and locate the main control board located on the top right hand corner. You can remove the two 5/16 screws holding the top of the front panel and move the front panel forward to remove the other two 5/16 screws holding the front of the top panel. Once these are removed there is one more 5/16 screw holding the board in place, remove the screw. Now lift the top panel and pull out the board with the wire harness. Search for the resistor R11 on the board (it's towards the middle). If this resistor is burnt, replace the main board and the wax motor located inside the latch mechanism ( it will have a red/burgundy color plunger which will be replaced with a wax motor with a black plunger). If R11 is intact, look closely at the latch system, and replace it if needed.

Possible bad door switch or defective board.

Unhook the water hoses at the wall and check to make sure the screens are free of debris. The pump is easy to access via the back panel--just two screws. There are blogs available that tell you how to check and replace the pump if necessary. Read all of them before you start. It is often the culprit. Good luck.
