Why does it fill with water then just stop?
Hello. Based on the cycle progression and the symptom you describe, there could be a problem with the motor control board. This unit, after pressing the start button, locks the door and unlocks it, then turns on the drain pump for a short period. After the drain pump is shut off for a small duration, the unit will start to fill. After 30 seconds, the door will re-lock. The washer will continue to fill, then start to agitate(spin at wash speed). This is what *should* happen. However, also based on the sheer number of service bulletins for this model, I recommend you call for service--there are at least 19 to 25 service flashes(as they are known in tech lingo)--there have been motor/motor control upgrades, software revisions, wiring harness relocations due to EMI interference causing a mid-cycle shutdown, etc...the list goes on . The service procedure also depends on if the washer is an L.E.D. version or an LCD type of display. A service tech will be able to initiate the service mode and, based on stored error codes(if any), will be able to perform the different system tests to isolate and identify the problem. There are just too many variables involved to attempt an accurate, offsite diagnosis. I try to give as accurate and detailed information as I possibly can--but I am also very direct and up-front with my customers--they all need accurate and timely information to make the best *informed* decision on how to proceed with their particular situation. I hope I helped you!
