Kodak EasyShare V603 Digital Camera Questions & Answers
Can't upload videos to Imovie
Kodak series cameras capture videos in MOV files. iMovie will only import codecs that it can edit. iMovie can import MP4, DV, Apple Intermediate Codec, H.264, Photo JPEG, Motion JPEG, Apple Animation, and perhaps others. MOV is a multimedia container file, not a codec. It can contain any of the above codecs, but it could contain other codecs that are not editable by iMovie, such as MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 so that sometimes iMovie cannot recognize Kodak videos directly.
please try this video converter, good luck.

What type and size is your new memory card? The V603 works with MMC and SD cards, 2GB or smaller. It will not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.
Lenses will not move
This is a sign the lens is jammed probably due dirt particals over a period of time, this is a job for a camera tech and I recomment a estimate.
Lense sticking with good battery?
If you have a Kodak EasyShare V603 and have the lense sticking or not retracting all the way when you power down with a known good battery, this tip may save the day for you ... Note I said MAY save the day, NOT "will" ... Nothing in life is certain ... The extending/retracting lense assembly is very sensitive to dust or foreign material. If even the slightest amount of dust... pocket lint, anyone?... gets inside the camera housing in the area of the lense mechanism, the sticking can occur... the solution is to undo the screws holding on the front half of the housing and get that shell out of the way... then run a clean q-tip around the outer rim of the lense assembly ... filthy, isn't it? ... now repeat... once your q-tip comes up clean, blow away any residual dust. The jury is out on whether alcohol helps at all here ... Repeat the procedure to clean the opening in the camera housing through which the lense extends as well ... Reassemble the housing and you MIGHT be good to go ... Of course, if you dropped the camera into the La Brea Tar Pits, don't expect a miracle, but this procedure can get rid of a surprising amount of dirt & dust that can build up inside the camera from carrying it in your pocket or purse ... I DID say you need a known good battery, right ? oh, and it helps if it is fully charged too ... Worked for me !
My camera will not stay
The non functioning of the camera can be a fault in the shutter, zoom or auto focus sections and may be due to the failure of the Main control system or the drive. A simple was is to reset and we can try by removing the battery and card for some time. Now replace only the battery and while switching power ON, tap the lens hood on the palm of your hands so as to disengage any dirt or mechanism being struck.
Use some air to blow between the lens to dislodge any sand particles struck inside. Unless you are familiar with handling of small devices must the camera be opened. If so check the voltage on the motor drive, check the auto focus and Zoom drives, it must be free with manual movement. If jammed the motor can be removed and released. If none of these works then you can think of taking consensus with the service centre.
Get estimate before you decide. It will be good to have it checked at the authorised service as you do not have to run around for spares.

How to fix camera error #45 in kodak v603
Hello
The problem is that the lens has become stuck in the barrel. There are some DIY solutions you could try, but the
probability is that you will have to get it fixed by a professional.
Use
these at own risk as it may further damage the camera.
Firstly ,
try connecting your ac adapter or usb cable.
Try holding the
shutter button while switching on the camera.
Look at the lens ,
and if some of the lens 'circles' is misaligned or not concentric then
try wiggling it (while holding camera lens down).
Try gently
pushing or pulling the lens when it extends but this is risky as it may
cause the lens barrel to slip out of its guidance system.
Another
way to do this is to place the camera lens down on a hard surface and
then power it up. Be sure to use a soft cloth or something similar as to
not scratch your lens or casing. Let the lens push the camera up and
down a few times and sometimes the little resistance provided by the
camera is enough to get things going again.
Try hitting your
camera near the lens on the body with the soft tissue on the palm of
your hand.
Other than that , I would take the camera to a repair
center for a evaluation to see if it would cost more to repair than to
replace the camera.
If it is still under warranty I would suggest
you take it in before trying any of these steps and remove any
off-brand batteries or accessories as some stores are really fussy about
warranty repairs on camera's with non-brand accessories.

the advise is useful. please do not hesitate to let me know if you need

Kodak v603 says needs to format memory card, card
The way To Fix It is :
Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If
not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from
Amazon.com or Buy.com
2
Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available
drives.
3
Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
4
In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
5
Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a
non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do
in the first place.
6
Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it
into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to
make sure it works fine now.

Got wet; dried. ot
Best bet here, take it to a camera shop, if it got wet you have water damage, with that said would be the reason why it
doest ot hold charge. The cause is the unit is not charging the battery or has shorted out inside so it does not hold charge.
point in case here there is nothing a email expert can do but suggest what you to do next going forward.
thanks and please do click the accept button for my efforts. Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at
