I need to re tune my samsung tv but have no remote
you can always use the button on your Tv itself.
ie menu = Menu
Channel up/down = take you up and down
volume = goes left and right.
follow these steps
Menu,
channel down button to CHANNEL
press the volume button along
channel down button to AUTO STORE
press the volume button to Start the scan.
right now you have your telly tuned in. What you could do it get an old sky remote off a friend/ neighbour. or buy from argos etc ( a lot cheaper then getting a replacement samsung one)
press the following buttons on the sky remote to program it to work with your samsung tv.
TV,
RED + SELECT
TV.
0060
try the volume if this works press SELECT to save this code if it doesnt press Tv then try the volume again. repeat this step until the volume works your telly. once it doest dont forget to press the SELECT button to save.
Now you will be able to change your volume use the number keys. if you also press the HELP button on the sky remote this will also change your AV / SOURCE I hope this post helps you out. When it does please leave a thumbs up for me Please

How do I get my PS3 to work over hdmi?
Try swapping out HDMI cable. The version of cable. (1.2, 1.4 etc ) might be too old/faulty for PS3.
If your Tv is HD ready and not Full HD lower the video quality in the PS3 settings

After the tv is off about 2-3 hours the tv turns on by itself what can i do to fix it
Sort of depends on what's causing it to switch on. Try some things:
1. Cover the remote control. Perhaps it has a timer and is doing it.
2. Cover the TV. Perhaps something else in your room is sending the switch-on signal.
If you both these and it still switches on, then the fault is indeed in the TV. I suspect you will find the problem isn't in the TV, though.

How do I fix a Samsung LN-S3241D where the brightness fades to black after 20 minutes of use
Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its
back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.
It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

In some models of LCD TVS; the backlight inverter and its T'Con board will be a part of the panel itself, and will be a built-in type inside the LCD panel. If so, they can't be replaced. In this case; a panel replacement is the only repair. For some other models, the backlight inverter section circuit will be a part of the main power supply regulator [SMPS]. To such sets, the power supply section circuit too should trouble shoot. Contact any service technician. The circuit will differ with models and versions.

Samsung PN43D490A1 has sound no picture need service manual
Hi, not sure if you have the same fault as i had, but our tv only had half the screen go off, after looking up on the internet i found a video for a fix, what you need to do is remove the back cover, there will be ribbons that go from the front screen to the main panel, i removed each one at a time and rubbed the contacts of the ribbon with a rubber on the end of a pencil, plugged them all back in and switched it on and it was now spot on, thats more than a year ago and its still working spot on, hope this helps

Why has my menu has part greyed out like settings how can I fix this
Do a factory reset to this TV. To make it factory reset, you have to enter its service mode option. Before doing this, just make a hard reset and check. If this method does not help, make a factory reset. Unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. This must make it a hard reset. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "
Mosaic" or "
Magazine" will make surf easy. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience.
Do a search by type in the brand name of your device at its search box.
