I have a Frigidaire Affinity

"pause" isn't something you can reset exactly I'm afraid. Pause means that the washer door was opened mid cycle so all you should need to do is shut the door to restart the cycle. Unfortunately if it doesn't re-start, it means that your door latch assembly has failed and isn't sensing that the door is shut. You'll need to order and replace the door latch assembly to fix the issue. It's actually a fairly easy part to replace if you're handy. You'll need to unplug the washer and open the door to start with. Then there is a wire ring around the front lip of the rubber door gasket. Use a flat head screwdriver/needle nose pliers and pry the wire ring off. From there you can pull the gasket back out of the way. Remove the screws going into the door latch from the front and reach behind to replace the door latch assembly. Make SURE the door strike on the door isn't broken too. that's only a 6$ or so item. Here's a site for parts and a video on how to replace it. https://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Door-Switch/131763256/4547033?modelNumber=ATF6000FS1 Hope this helps you.

My frigidaire front load washer stopped working

It sounds like the pump has stopped and may have sucked a sock or rag into it. May need to pull the washer out, remove the back. Unplug the washer and see if you can manually turn the pump/motor belt. It could also be the motor but I would check to see if they turn. If not, remove the belt and manually try to turn each and see if they turn.

I hav a Gibson front load washer. The other night I heard a big "thunk" I believe at the end of the wash cycle. I ran down to check what had happened and found the machine had jumped away from the wal

Sounds like you got a broken drum spider usually due to overloading. And that's a major break down quite expensive but can be done.

How to unclog drain hose/pump? my front loader

First of start by checking the rubber gasket seals around the door and making sure those are good and clean and dry. Then inspect the barrel itself. My daughter loves to leave scraps of paper in her pockets that then get stuck in my front loader. Clear any debris from the barrel. Does your machine have a small front access panel or back access to get to the filter? Most front loaders have some sort of filter on them apart from the barrel. If you can find this part, it is a common culprit. Mine is a tube shaped basket with a front access panel on this one. On the front loader before this one is was back panel accessable under the drum. when you check these have a bucket and some thing mop up with handy, towels, mop, etc. One other thing to consider is the drain hose from the machine. I have flushed mine using a garden hose in the yard and used a little bleach.

Our front load washer had

The washtub suspension allows it to move but when overloaded it will move rather more than it is designed for and could open a gap between the washtub and the door large enough to allow items to slip through. The suspension is carefully designed to absorb the out of balance forces, with which the washer would be noisy and tend to "walk" around the kitchen. These days consumers demand smoother and quieter performance from their washers and so it is increasingly important not to overload them. A friend called out the service engineer to his new washer that he had been operating just like his old one. The engineer began by plugging in a laptop and looking accusingly at him said he had overloaded his new machine nine times in the few weeks since it was delivered. Guessing is no longer an acceptable method of loading the washing machine...

How do i unlock the wash settings?

Hello Salvatore, thank you for your post! Based off what you have described you need to know how to unlock your Frigidaire washer, ATF6000ES. If the control panel is locked you would need to hold down the options and select buttons for ten seconds. "LOC" should no longer be displayed on the control and the washer should continue operations. I hope this information is helpful to you. -Matt

Large dark brown spots appearing after washing

Normally a washer does not cause a staining problem, but If something inside the washer has rusted, it could. I would check your water tank. Drain water from the drain cock at the bottom of the tank, and see how dirty it is. If it is dirty, you need to drain the water until it is almost clear.

On the final cycle where it says its wringing the cloths and draining the water the washer is making a very loud fast clicking sound as it runs. what could be causing this?

A hose might have become un-clamped at the rear of the washer or something might be loose on the tub(such as one or more of the concrete stabilizers). I have seen these formed pieces of concrete shatter due to vibration/age. Remove the top cover and carefully inspect the forms(at the top rear and front top/bottom of the tub) for cracks and missing pieces and looseness. Run the washer with the top removed to confirm or better diagnose.

Won't stay on wash cycle I select

I appreciate your post, Sandy!

I understand that your Frigidaire washer, ATF6000ES, will not stay on the wash cycle you select. This could be a faulty control panel, wiring harness, or keypad. Have you reset your washer? You can perform a reset by disconnecting the power from your washer for at least ten minutes. If the reset does not help to correct your issue I would recommend seeking a professional technician for proper diagnosis and repair. This will help you avoid any unnecessary part purchases. -Matt

Why won't Affinity fill or spin?

Probably there is water in the drum or the pressure switch is jam in a state of "full of water" or washing machine didn't drain water .. So, the fault should be sought in the elements responsible for control the level (pressure switch, pcb...etc.) or control draining water (drain pump, pcb, filter....etc.). The precondition that the machine goes into a spin cycle is that pressure switch folded down to position "empty of water". Dado
