You can find the reset button at the bottom of the ice maker. Remove the ice tray to locate it. Remove the ice tray. The red button you see is the reset button

try disconnecting thermistor and let run if ok replace it if no possible low on freon

The most likely cause is the defrost timer. It is supposed to defrost every 24 hours. The same thing happened to my GE. The evaporator at the back of the freezer was a solid block of ice and it was blocking the cooling vent to the fridge.

You need an engineer. That sounds like a 'Clixxon', a device that cycles the compressor on and off due to overheated gasses in the system. Do you have cats or dogs?
