I have a 10 year old ceiling fan not sure the make or model but it is in a highend home so I would imagine it was pretty expensive at the time.

Not being able to determine your ceiling fan make and/or model is a common issue. I would recommend the below article as it provides a step by step on how to figure out the make and model of your fan. You will need this detail to get support https://yourceilingfan.com/how-do-i-determine-my-ceiling-fan-model/

Got the lights from not blinking, now the ceiling fan won't work.

great question. this kind of issue is generally a problematic lamp controller. Lamp controllers get "used to" the current over time. So if you have a certain milli amperage flowing across the lamp controller for X years, eventually the lamp controller gets used to that current The below article is very good at describing how a lamp controller works: https://yourceilingfan.com/harbor-breeze-fan-lights-start-to-flash-after-10-minutes/

Light switch will not turn on fan light, however I

I'm assuming you can turn on light AT the fan but not at wall switch, And you have replaced WALL switch correct? If that's correct, then wiring above fan has come loose and is no longer attached to wire that connects to wall switch. (They come loose from fan vibration - had same problem)

Ceiling fan speed chain broke off while fan was off. Replaced the 3-speed 4-wire switch with same type and rewired as before. Now fan only has 1 low speed. Could capacitor have gotten damaged?

capacitor tis toast. Have done what you did once. Just remember if/when replacing it... The capacitor leads are color coded but the motor leads may not be! Tag the motor leads with colored tape before disconnecting the old capacitor, if necessary. Been there too! Differ by brands whether they are color coded.

My hunter ceiling fan works by remote . My remote fell And the batteries fell out, now my ceiling fan won't turn on the lights or the fan. It won't even work if I pull on the chains

I always look for the simplest answer first. This MAY be the problem: you reinserted one or more of the batteries with the wrong orientation. Typically, they will connect in series to produce a higher voltage than a single battery by itself. For example, an AA battery puts out about 1.5 Volts, and two AA's in series would produce about 3 Volts, with the positive of one battery connecting to the negative end of the other; the negative of the first and the positive of the second connect to the remote's terminals. The connection between the two batteries is usually in the battery holder in the remote, and the batteries will be physically oriented in opposite directions. For example:batts-g3g4rd04a0x5u31qpoveqzom-1-0.gif Of course, something inside the remote may have broken instead, but double-check the battery connections first.

No power to light fixture. Only fan works.

Lights are wired separately. Check the wires that come from the light fixture through a hole in the center of the fan and come out at the top with the rest of the wires. Check wiring diagram in manual. Good luck!
