How to assemble belt

Hello Denise, I have seen this problem many times. The sneakers by themselves in the dryer cause a shock effect , when the weight of the sneakers tumbling onto the drum overloads the skinny belt and the belt breaks every time. Usually. if you dry the sneakers along with other clothes or towels this will not happen.

Motor will not run

The heater is not supposed to come on unless the motor is running. The cent switch inside the motor powers up the heater. You must have a shorted element and that is probably what took the timer out as well. Here is HOW IT WORKS Another interesting video I made is estate dryer no heat which I show where the fuse and all is. The fuse by the way ties into the door switch and is mounted on the blower housing. If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/dan_73bbd84fe1d95b61

TEDS840JQ no heat

It probably has a bad timer. To check the timer set your meter for ohms or tone if you have tone. Connect a test lead to the terminal that connects to the large red wire from the heater. Now check for continuity between that point and all other terminals on the timer. if ya cannot get a reading the timer is bad. How can you tell if the thermal fuse is defective

You can check it for continuity. But if the dryer won't run and you have power to it, that is also a sign that the fuse is bad.

My estate dryer worked for a few minutes after I plugged it in, however I smelled something like it was burning, so I stopped it and now it will not come back on. any suggestions?

First, check to see if the door switch is good. Push and release it by hand and you should hear a click. If that is good, then the "thermal fuse" has gone out and will need to be replaced. Here is the fuse. Here is a video to show you how to replace the fuse.

Timer will not advance even after replacement.

Hello,

Does the timer advance in timed dry setting or will it not advance no matter where its set??

If it does advance in the timed dry (or air fluff setting) but just does not advavce when dryer is set to autodry setting the problem is going to a poor air flow problem and the lint filter/blower housing should be checked for lint build up also the vent tube should be checked for a blockage

If the timer does not advance at all on any setting ya need to check the wiring of the dryer for a possible burnt wire on the neutral side

You do not state if you are using a machine with an automatic drying sensor. If so the calibration of the sensor is off. Try setting the control to a dryer setting. If you are using it by time only, it would appear there may be a blockage in the air outlet. Check the damper flapper at the output of the air vent. It might be partially stuck closed thus reducing the air flow around the clothes. Just a thought that your washer spin dry may not be sufficiently spin drying the clothes and so that the clothes are overly wet when put into the dryer..

What is this feature-"Wringle Prevent"

Hello,
What the wrikle prevent does is after cycle is done if you dont go take clothing out right away is will tumble the drum without heat for 30 seconds every 10 minutes till the door is opened so the clothing doesnt sit there and wrinkle but gets tossed around lightly so wrinkles dont set in.

Dryer was working fine until I turned off the

Hello Steve,

I am a bit confused because the model you selected is for a electric dryer which should have a dedicated outlet/breaker only for the dryer
I am going to assume it's a gas dryer and the trouble is with the outlet,to verify this plug a know working object into the outlet and see if it works
Even if the part in the dryer part that cuts the circuit to the motor if it's bad(thermal fuse) has no bearing on the drum light and that should work if power to dryer

Where should i look for the belt location inside

If you need to find parts or manuals for the dryer, go to Google website and type in you model number and then type in what you need manuals or parts. More then likely your belt came off the idler pulley.
