Most likely it is the board on the lcd panel. The first question though is, can you get menus? If yes, it is the input module, if no, most likely the panel controller board. There are several makes of panels in these sets, so once diagnosed, we would need to know what panel you have to help further. For your TV the power light will be red when the TV is turned off using the power button on the top of the TV. I have a Protron 37: LCD TV. The power indicator does not change to green (the red light is showing) and the TV will not turn on, either by remote or using the power button on the TV. The TV is about a year and a half old. Can you please help me?

Try to play dvd. if it is worked fine there you have cable box connection problem.

The remote or the Tvs IR sensor are the two most likliest causes of that issue.
