There is not much you get of any particualr blender manual but to be univeral with your old one. there are the speeds for the diffferent actions and the baldes for the different functions.
Only if there are many attachements must youknow how to fix them but these are very basics and can be checked out easliy.

Many blenders will work with a standard canning jar (pint or quart) I'm not sure if that will work for you, but it's a definite cheap fix.

Regarding with your problem, it is better for to be a new one than get it to repair, the parts is hard to locate and the plus the labbor it can actually cost you for a new..
