Brother MFC 210C All-In-One InkJet Printer Questions & Answers

If you look at the Brother website you will find a trouble shooting guide for your machine.
In the guide, for the error you quote Brothers guidance is to check for a stuck piece paper, however it also states that if the printhead is hard over to one side (righthand side if memory serves me correct), then to contact Brother. If you do so, Brother will tell you it needs to be serviced by a Brother agent, which will likely cost you more than a new one !
If it isnt a stuck piece of paper, the problem is due to the fact that Brother machines excessively self-clean. Each time they self-clean a small amount of ink is dumped in to a holding tank/sponge. When a predefined number of self-clean operations have been performed, the machine refuses to print and gives the error message you have stated. Brother state that the tank/sponge must be replaced before the counter is reset, again by a Brother agent.
However, there is a way of reseting the self-clean counter yourself - if you Google your model number and the error code somewhere in the results you'll find how to do it. The only risk of doing this without changing the tank/sponge is that it will eventually overflow and leak out the bottom, but I did my Brother all in one some time ago and have had no problems yet.
When I print something it says the printer is offline.
I assume the printer says offline. On your computer, check that the printer properties doesn't have it set to offline. If you have Windows, you go into the printers, right click the printer in question and make sure there is no check mark next to the offline option.
Hi I just replaced the ink cartridge on my 210c
If you have already run the deep cleaning utility and alignment utility, it sounds like you may be using aftermarket/refilled cartridges. The nozzles and ink sensors may be clogged.
To clear the sensors and nozzle, install new OEM cartridges, run deep cleaning a number of times (at least 3 times), and then the alignment utility.
Aftermarket/refilled cartridges do not always meet the manufacturer's specifications for quality. Try cartridges from LDproducts.com for your printer. I've never had a problem with their aftermarket cartridges.
Please rate this solution. Thanks.
How can i clean my mfc 210c printer head maually
The majority of the printer parts like take up rollers and gears can be cleaned using Rubbing (IsopropylAlcohol or aka Surgical Spirit in the UK this will remove ost of the finger grease that can build up over time.
I wouldn't however suggest that you attempt to manually clean the print heads as they can easily be damaged and destroy the printer replacement heads can be as much as a new printer and difficult to change.
I recommend using the deep clean function found in the printer driver maintenance tab, you might have to run it 3 times at least if you don't use your printer very often.
Tip is to always leave enough ink in the cartridges to prevent the heads from drying out, this is why most manufactures tell you to replace ink when there is about 5% left in them to prevent this happening

MFC 210C machine error 4F
Hi!
To resolve the issue you'r facing with, you need to access the internal maintenance mode by pressing the Menu/Set button, then press * 2 8 6 4 within 2 seconds. This should put you in the maintenance mode menu. Enter 80, then scroll down with the arrow down (round) key. You'll find an entry listed as purge count. If number is over 6000, enter 2 7 8 3.
This will reset the purge count value. Then the printer will restart, hopefully without the error code 4F.
Please do rate this solution as FixYa and revert for further assistance.
Thanks
Rylee
