Hi.
Yes there is a filter.
Remove lower rear panel of washer.
Remove large black hose onto bottom of drum.
Remove and clean filter inside hose.
Remove hose on to pump, check for obstruction or blockage here, and look inside the pump as well.
This should solve your problem.

Hotpoint Aquarius WD440, Rinse Hold, Time Saver and On/Off light flashing
This is typical of a control board problem.
About 60% of the time they can be repaired, but it's easier to replace it than keep testing.
If you are competent at electrical repairs, then read -on, otherwise order a replacement, and have it fitted.
Isolate supply.
Remove top cover by removing screws at top rear, slide cover rearwards.
Control board is on right at the front.
Test connections - remove and replace all connections, checking for signs of arcing.
Check main wiring loom to motor for integrity and damage.
If no signs of damage, remove control unit board, and examine for arcing or poor contacts, overheated components or damage.
If everything still looks ok, a replacement control board should be fitted and the machine tested.
Hope this helps.

Machine fault code "f13"
Plug off the wall. There is a thin rubber tube going from the switch area to the exit near the outlet tube. Probably this is blocked. This tube should be free from any blockage; take out the top clip from this tube and blow into it - it should be free, clear the blockage if any and refit. This is the water level tube which tells the machine when to switch off water, etc.....

Error code f 05
An F-05 error message means that the pressure switch is jammed on empty or a problem with pump.
The fault is associated with drain out (pump blocked or restricted in some way).
Small panel at rear of machine reveals the pump, pull of the two pipes (Plastic clips hard to get off, slide them sideways), remove wire and unclip pump from base of machine by lifting locking tab and sliding to the left, pump can then easily be cleaned.

I have fault code F06 on my Hotpoint WMf740
Hello,
F6 error is apparently a motor fault. The
motor could be jammed, open circuit ,
burnt out. It may just be a broken wire
or connection come off. Check the motor.

Hi i have wd640g hotpoint
Check all thermostats , check to be sure you have 220 volts coming into the machine. Use ohm meter & check from heater element to the heater case or cabinet to see if the element is grounded. Positive to element & Negative to case should show no ohms if it does it is shorted. Also heater circuit runs through a centrifical switch on the motor
so if the motor quits the heater shuts down so you don't have a fire. When the motor is not running the fan stops.
You could check this switch but it don't happen very often. check this switch last. Hope this will help you

My hotpoint keeps coming up
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
My list of Indesit (Hotpoint, Ariston) errors does not include an 'F06'!
If you have not done so already try checking that thre is no drainage blockage/stopage.
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to rinse or spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Following are my complete and hopefully 'coverall' pre-typed guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Underwire stuck in hotpoint WMD 940
i can try to help you with this problem. if you pop the cap off the top of the agitator you will see a nut, once you take the nut off you should be able to jiggle the agitator in an upward motion to remove it then retrieve your wire and gently slide agitator back on so as not to ruin the splines if there are any. good luck

I have a Hotpint Aquarius Washer/Dryer model
you could have a broken pipe on the filler or the seal has gone on the drum you would need to have a look, either way they are easy to fix or replace. drain pipe can leak if the pipe has come off the pump also check this but you will need to remove the case to get to look, always unplug the washer before touching any screws, remove case and look at the pipes and make sure they are seated in the right place.
