Go into the print settings and change the size of the document there. The printer may be set to 5x7 but the document you are printing isn't.

hmm this has happened before
make sure it is sitting straight and cleaning it might help

* Does the unit print the self test page properly? Steps are given below:

Make sure your USB lead is in or it may be best to reinstall your printer software driver again they some times do go wrong.

see if you can get the latest software on the HP website this should fix the problem. If you are not sure how to do that let me know your version of windows and i'll find it for you. i think some **** of paper might be stuck inside the printer mechanism, carefully check it. if no, try the following :
* unload the cartridges and reload it back
* keep the printer offline (disconnect from the pc) and try copying something
* realign the cartridges with a former printed alignment sheet (i think u may have known how to align it)

The copy function works fine because the printer alone is handling the copy. When you print, you need two machines to get their stories straight. Is your printer turned on before the machine boots up? or is the printer turned on after the machine has booted? Sometimes Windows won't load all the drivers needed if it doesn't detect a device during bootup. You may want to download the latest and greatest drivers from the HP site, uninstall and reinstall the drivers.

problem with virus only,Romove the printer drivers. please install anti virus and scan the system.Then reinstall the drivers.

1. Click and select. (Settings) > Devices > Printers & scanners.
2. Select your product and click Manage.
3. Click Printer properties.
4. Select the Ports tab.
5. Select the Enable bidirectional support checkbox and click OK.
