What type and size memory card? The PSC1350 won't work with SDHC cards even though they fit into the slot.

fax error 232 indicates a communication failure between the sending and receiving units. I'd check for line noise on the phone (you can hear it as cracks and pops) If your fax line is not dedicated, any noise from another phone pickup or an answwering machine can cause the failure.

Inkjet printer require both cartridges to be installed and have ink to go online. There is no way to bypass this function. If the printer does not detect the cart when it tries to perform a head clean cycle you get the error you have displayed on the screen. All inkjet printers are like this not just HP.

try to reset printer , Press and hold # and 3 while plugging in the power cord. Note: For models that are not fax capable, press Plus (+ ) instead of # .

It should work, simply plug your PSC to your PC/Laptop and go to devices and printers, you'll see it there and then you'll see "Needs Troubleshooting. Click on your device with the right button of your mouse, and you'll see at the bottom of the drop down list "Troubleshooting" run it and follow instructions, after that should be working.

With your printer in a USB port, type WIAACMGR onto Windows start bar line and hit enter. This will establish connection with your printer for scans - only I cannot yet figure out how to do PDF conversions. Hope this helps.

The magenta print head nozzles maybe blocked. Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent ink drying out and blocking the print head nozzles. If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive. It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer than replace the print head.

I have the exact same model of printer, I find that it prints faster if you go into printing preferences and change the print quality to fast draft or fast normal. You can also set the printer directly by pressingcopy twice then press3 for copy quality, then select 3 for fast. Doing both should produce faster printing for your documents. (NOTE : This will not suggested if you are printiing items that need to have crisp clean printing as the faster it prints the less detailed the printing is.)
