I have officejet 7410 all in one. it worked

The following may work: remove all the ink supplies. Remove the printhead and soak it for about 5 minutes in 0.5" of very hot water. Gently blot the printhead on a soft damp paper towel to remove the excess water, then replace in the printer and then reinstall the ink supplies.

Have a look at the following site. It works and gets the printer running but without a wireless connection, just use a USB one instead

When I try to scan, a message on the printer

Welcome to Fixya

Sound like you have a lamp problem with the scanner. Try to reset the printer first by followinf the procedure below. If this doesnt help, then i think the printer is toast, and needs to be serviced. I suggest you call HP tech support and enquire about the Upgrade Options for your printer.

1. Make sure the power cable is connected to a wall socket and not to a surge protector.
2. Perform a partial reset by unplugging the power cable from the printer while it is on. Now press and hold the # and the 3 buttons and plug the cable in. continue holding the buttons for about 20 seconds and then release them. let the self tests complete and see if it works.
3. If this doesnt help, perform a semi-full reset by following the same steps as Step 2, but this time, press and hold the # and 6 buttons.

Thank you for using Fixya! If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/elixirjose_00375ea24bd8141b

The screen on my 7410 says HP invent with a moving

When the software is installed for the printer, one of the applications that is added to the system is the HP Director. There are times when this application does not open on systems that are running the Windows XP operating system. One way to correct this is to run the program from the HP program group from the "All Programs" option on the Start menu. The application will load into the computer's memory but does not appear on the screen. Press "ALT" + space bar to view the shortcut menu. Select "minimize" to display the program on the taskbar. Another option is to update the program by visiting the HP Software Download Page (see Resources).

Printer carriage jam and then locks

Check the following steps for fixing Hp Carriage Jam Error :

Open the print carriage access door. Check for any packing material that may be blocking the internal components. Check for an orange shipping lock that may still be in place on the left side. Pull the shipping lock out, if present, and discard.

Remove and reinstall the cartridges to make sure they are properly installed. Lift the front center of the print carriage access door to open it. Lift the door up until it locks into an open position. Press down on a print cartridge and allow it to spring back up. Lift the cartridge out of the printer. Do the same for the other cartridge. Slide the black cartridge into the slot on the left and the color cartridge into the slot on the right. Press down on each one to lock it into place. Lower the print carriage access door.

Check the print cartridges to make sure the protective tape has been removed from the ink nozzles. Remove the cartridges from the printer. Remove any tape or labels. Replace the cartridges into the printer.

Push in on the tab on the left side of the clean-out door on the back of the printer to open the door. Lift the door out of the printer. Check for any paper jams. Jammed paper can block the printer cartridge carriage from moving. Pull any jammed paper out.
