Hp carriage jam

Open the lid and wait for the service station movements to stop. Now pull the power plug to the printer. Next grasp the carriage and move it gently back and forth. If there are no obstructions then clean the encoder strip as described in this procedure. If there is an obstruction carefully free the carriage, then plug the printer back in and close the lid.

My 7410 is continuously in a non responsive mode. Won't shut off without pulling plug. Plug back in and is still in this non responsive mode. It is not connected to a pc.

Check power switch/cable working or not, if not working replace it , if its working replace formatter..

Need a repacement cd for

You can find a copy of the software which is on the cd online.
You can go to www.hp.com, click on drivers and support and in the field write your printer model. You will arrive in a page where you can chose operating system you have installed on your pc and then you will arrive in a page where you can download software, drivers and manuals for your products

7410 prints great across my lan but when I try to

This is a common problem with most HP OfficeJets. There are 2 main fixes to resolve your problem.

Below are 2 links. The first is a firmware update which contains patches and critical updates for your machine.

HP 7410 Critical Updates

Once on that page, select your OS and download.
After downloading and installing the program, search for Critical updates and/or updated Firmware.

If this doesn't repair your scanning issue, go to the link below and download the Scan Diagnostic Utility. This will search your network for any conflicts that could be interfering with your ability to scan.

HP Scan Diagnostic Utility

This troubleshooter should successfully find/correct any communication issues you're having.

Lastly, you may need to re-aquire the device. Open HP Director and allow it to search for TWAIN devices. You may find more than 1 installed which is causing your conflict. If not, indicate your 7410 as the main scanning device and retry.

I can't get the printer

Verify the router is set for wep and that you give it the correct info. numbers 0 through 9 and A through F so putting a password of password will not work.

Try something like 1423DDA244.

Beter Yet:

Set the router for WPA2 mode and then you can have the password of your choise and a more succure connection.

I was given an Officejet 7410 All-in-one and told

The cartridge u are using must be HP97 (color)...

As for the solution;

1. Open up the door (cartridge will be centered)

2. Unplug the power cord

3. Pull out the cartridge

4. Wipe out the cartridge circuit part with soft tissue or paper towel.

5. And put it back

6. Plug the power again.

If above method is not working, then it has to do with cartridge problem..
(circuit part may be short most likely, especially when you used competible or refilled cartridge)

For next time, try easier way to save your $$.
