The barrel is out of balance. Remove the jeans and redistribute evenly, or wash fewer pairs of jeans at a time.

Hi, First is the supply turned on? Do you hear a buzzing sound when starting a load? if not, it may just be the fill valve assy/ solenoid. A reasonable cost for this part is about $15-20 plus 1/2-3/4 hours labor. If so the buzz indicates the valve is attempting to open or opening and there is an obstruction in water line or supply may be off. Do any of the cycles work? If nothing works some models lock out with a lid switch. I have seen alot of failures in this model see link Maytag Legacy Washers amp Dryers I hope this answer helps in some way. I had a Centennial washer on a service call doing this just the other day... After putting it trough diagnostics I found no errors and all the washer's mechanics tested okay. After resetting the control by putting it trough the diagnostics mode it continued to repeat cycles without restarting the washer.

• Try running it through diagnostics and see what error codes are in the memory. (Guide is linked below)
• What are the codes? do they give any more clues?
• clear the codes and run a test cycle.
• does it work?
• if it checks out properly with the diagnostics it's probably a bad control board...

Washer will not drain: Thedrain water pumpis the main part in your washing machine that pumps out the water. If this is defective or has failed in any way, this will be the reason why your washer will not drain the water. Before you order a new drain pump, make sure tocheck the pump to be sure a small object like clothing or similar has not lodged itself insideof it causing the NO DRAIN issue and even a no spin issue?. If the drain pump is not clogged, you can test it with a multimeter and remove and replace if needed. bad water pressure switch

No agitation? first use a meter and check ur water pressure switch? that is what sends the machine the message to start wash cycle? You can test it with a meter and with a manual test? ( first locate it in the panel, it has a plastic clear tube hose going into it, remove that tube from its connection, now put another small tube or hose into the slot where it was and have the machine set to wash cycle with water in it. Blow into the other end of the tube. If the machine starts to wash. the pressure switch is more than likely good. now take the original hose tube and plug one end and blow into it the other end, it should be hard and have pressure, if it is easy to blow and u dont feel any pressure and it feels like the air is going out ? sometimes they get busted open or a pin hole and release air causing the water switch diaphram to not open. If both check ok then next CHECK the motor coupler or belt if belt driven.check with a multi meter for continuity the door switch, and if there is a little movement on wash cycle in 1 direction only then check the cam dogs in agitator.
