If your set worked well (no lines, maybe only white or black scattered pixels) before you replaced the DLP chip, then your problem could be that the DLP chip did not get seated properly or the cam screws were not tightened enough after replacing the chip. The DLP chip must be seated properly in its socket or else line and column lines will be seen. Hello. I have replaced many DLP chips, as I work for a repair shop. I have seen similar symptoms when the chip isn't seated properly in the mount. There is a gray screw that should be loosened to remove the chip, and tightened when the new one is installed. Most importantly, you must make sure that the chip is seated flat in the socket before tightening the gray screw. Since you have done it once, you should have no problem correcting the issue! ??

Hi, if you power your TV on and see a black or grey screen, it may be on the incorrect input. Inputs get changed when switching the TV input for dvds or video game consoles.
