remove hard disk & ram now fix & check nb its working .but its not show in windows & hdd given sound so hard drive is faulty .

download a free antivirus there is several options like: AVG.com avast.com or go to http://anti-virus-software-review.toptenreviews.com/
and download one of the free options save it to your desktop do not install it yet. on your computer go to start control panel clasic view (if the case) add or remove programs find your antivirus and remove it restart your computer go to your desktop and install the downloaded antivirus you may have to restart pc again after installing antivirus when done run antivirus and check applications

installing a new windows xp, should fix this problem, make sure you have the right product key, and that you don't miss type it, or google the product keys for the same windows xp you have, and try them until it's accepted and continue with installing the windows don't forget to format the partition C of the hard disk you installing the windows xp on good luck

Sounds like you have a section of dead pixels. This can happen if the laptop has been dropped a lot or stepped on or some type of impact on the laptop. This is a hardware issue. You will need to have the screen replaced. In my opinion, by the age of the laptop, its better off getting a new one.

click on the battery and go to more power options and there you can change the time on the screen to dims or just disable it to do nothing

Dell doesn't realy have a "recovery" CD. What they shipped is a re-installation CD of the original OS (OEM edition). If you don't have this, you can probably download it from a torrent site and install the OS again using the installation code from the license sticker on the bottom of the laptop.

First would try to reset BIOS by removing CMOS batter. If removing CMOS battery did not help, you need to do the BIOS reset from jumper on motherboard.

Try removing the CMOS battery on the motherboard. Last chance is find and short CMOS Clear jumpers on mobo.

your password is not stored in BIOS.
it is stored on a IC called EEPROM
and it is soldered to the motherboard.
it cant be reset at all with conventional
methods. but it can be done
with shortcut jumper.(not recommended )

they will give you MASTER PASSWORD
