How do I open the ink container to replace the ink?
Are you asking where to open the unit to get the ink containers and print head accessible to replace the cartridges?
Or are you trying to figure out how to fill a cartridge with aftermarket ink?
To replace the cartridges themselves you must have unit on and on the left side where it says HP Office jet Pro etc. is actually the cover to the ink/head area open that and the head will automatically move over and allow access to the ink cartridges and the print head. To remove a cartridge just push in on it and it will click and disconnect. To install just push all the way in like removing until it clicks and attaches.
As far as adding aftermarket ink, I am not sure that is advised as I know I used to do this until last time it ruined my print head and made a mess as it leaked out of head unit all over inside of printer which in turn leaked onto desk and then onto floor. But if you think it would be ok the specific instructions should be included with the refill kits as different cartridges have different areas needed drilling etc. to access ink well/tank.
Hopefully this helps.
