HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 tray can't be inserted all

Grasp the handle on the front of the input tray, and then pull the tray towards you to open it.

Slide the paper width guides out as far as possible.

Remove all paper from the paper tray.

Inspect and remove any foam or tape packaging materials in the paper tray.

Insert a stack of unused, plain white paper (with the print-side down) in the center of the tray.

CAUTION: Do not load any paper
above the solid red lines on the sides of the tray. Do not use torn,
wrinkled, perforated, wet, or folded paper. Make sure to remove all
paper clips and staples before loading the paper.

Slide the paper guides in so that they rest
against the edges of the paper, and then insert the tray into the
product and push it forward until it clicks into place.

Pull out the tray extender on the output tray.

Step two: Load paper in optional Tray 2
Tray 2 is an optional accessory. Follow these steps to load paper in Tray 2.
NOTE: Tray 2 supports only plain letter or A4 paper.

Grasp the underside of the tray, and then pull out the tray from the bottom of the printer.

Slide the paper width guides out as far as possible.

Load a stack of unused, plain white paper
(print-side down) in the center of the tray. Make sure that the stack of
paper aligns with the engraved lines in the tray.
NOTE: Load Tray 2 with only U.S. Letter or A4 plain white paper.

Slide the paper guides in so that they rest against the edges of the paper.

Carefully reinsert the tray into the printer, and then push the tray forward to close it.

Pull out the tray extender on the output tray.

Load specialty paper
Follow these steps to load specialty paper such as card stock, envelopes, photo paper, or labels.
Before you proceed, verify that your printer supports the specialty paper on which you are attempting to print by viewing the
product specifications
. If the size, type, or weight of the paper is not available, the
printer does not support printing it. Also note the tray loading
capacity for the type of paper on which you are attempting to print.
Can't print A9 envelope.

My officejet pro 8600 is telling me to pick motor
I have spent many hours doing some trick to solve this , and it did not got me anywhe.Finally last chance I powered down the printer and completely removed the second printer tray assembly from the bottom of the printer.Powered back up running only the single main tray and that did the trick .
Black line going down page only when feeding paper
There should be a thin piece of glass to the left of the big glass that you put the original to be copied on. Clean the small glass very well and try copying again. If there is a spot on the glass, it will show up on the copy as a line.
Not reconizing printer head
Have you cleaned the print head contacts? If not, try this- open the the front cover with the machine on, the printer cartridges will move to the left and stop-
Don't shut off machine- on the right side of the cartridges you will see a gray handel- holding the bottom of the handel pull it towards you {clock wise} till the lever is in the up position; this will release the print head, next lift the print head (hold the cartridges) up and pull out the assembly.
On the back of the print head you will see copper contacts- clean them with alcohol or other such chemical. Look in machine where the print head was and you will see more copper contacts- carefully wipe them with a contact cleaner.
Reinstall print head, lift gray lever to lock it in.
Close front cover.
