Click the
Administrationtab then click on the
Factory Defaultssub-tab.

Under the
Factory Defaultssection, click on the
Restore Factory Defaultsbutton.

NOTE: The Power LED of the router will keep on blinking for a few seconds after resetting as it is still trying to stabilize. However, if the Power light still isn't solid after a minute, powercycle the router. For further steps on how to resolve this issue, click

Step 2:
Click the
Administrationtab.
NOTE: The image may vary depending on the model number of the Linksys router.
Step 3:
Under the
Managementsection, enter the new password in the
Router Passwordand
Re-Enter to Confirmfields.
NOTE: You may use a combination of letters and numbers for your router password. Make sure that you take note of your router password so that you may have a back-up in case you forget it.
Step 4:
Click
Save Settings.
IMPORTANT: All the computers that are connected to the network will be using the new password when logging in to the router's web-based setup page.
The router's administrator User name and Password are different from the wireless network name (SSID) and passphrase of your
