I had the same problem with Windows 10. Go to manufacture on your computer for SD card and reinstall the drivers..it should work fine..remember whenever dealing with Windows you may have to reinstall drivers...

hi there. this is what i have just found on the internet it might help you out but not sure. After plugging in the device. Go to device manager (In run type "devmgmt.msc") In Device manager go to "Universal serial bus controllers" It should list the storage devices that you have connected to your PC. Right click and then click "Uninstall. Remove the USB drive and restart your system. Try connecting the device again, I think this should solve the problem. for windows xp first you need to go to Device Manager by double-clicking on the System icon in Control Panel, choosing the Hardware tab, and clicking Device Manager. go to divice manager usb hub controler it will be at last of the list then right click on usb hub controler open it go to usb root hub right click & go to properties then go to device and click ok do it 4 to 5 time it will work 100% i have tried it and it worked Best of luck :) hi do one thing go to my computer right device manager ther u to o universal serial bus right click on tht option go to update driver select yes this time only give automatic k . before doing this step plz insert mother board driver cd after tht u do all this procedure thn c ur pendriv vl be dedected k if none of the above works try this link out. have a 2gb transcend pen drive.till now it was working properly but now wen i try it says insert an drive into I.the light is glowing and it is getting detected.But i am not able to read the data.anyone can please help me.

All your data will be erased & used space of your pen drive will restore to 0 bytes.

Try formatting the card and be sure the locking switch is in the off position.

Try formatting the drive. Assuming Windows XP, just open your "my computer" icon, right-click on the device and choose format. Be aware, formatting will remove any data you may have had on there previously.

Here is the solution,

After you connecting the pen drive go to my computer.
Select the drive of your pen drive. (For eg: E:/)
Then right click on it and select format.

After formatting the pen drive restart your computer.
Then conect it again.

This should work .

1.Insert your pendrive. open mycomputer, note the respective drive showing pendrive.

2. Then go to run and type cmd ( or go to command prompt)

3.It will show like: C:\> or C:\Documents and Settings\UserName>

4.Type the drive name of pendrive as shown in e.g
if drive is h: then type as

c:\>h:
h:\>format h:
it will format and ask for media name, you can give the name of your pendrive.

your pen drive is formatted. Now it will show the free space as 8G.B

You can try to format the mp3 player.
Go through: Setting>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management>Disk management>
Try to format it with fat files system.

I would first put it through a fast formatte then a standard formatte, then i would recommend asector scan and see if there are any sectors that are not recoverable, if they are messed up and or still not solved try to uninstall the file that has stored the recognition files for the pen drive remove the main file in c drive program files , find the file by name corresponding to what it is you have and delet it then do a full shutdown and after a full cold start reboot install pen and software when asked if you still experience this post the results and i will try to help in a higher level of tech knowledge and support

opening pen drive, it shows 'please insert the disk' & it shows 0 bytes & while trying to format it shows the same message again , i am using 2 gb pendrive of trancend.

Is this a new drive? If so, it probably just needs to be formatted [and optionally assigned to whatever free drive (letter) you desire]:

Start > Run... > tpye "diskmgmt.msc" (without quotes), then OK

see if you can format it if not it is bad

Try this,
1.
Check out if the USB drive has a small swich for write protection. If its there try toggling the switch.

2.
Windows can all write protect flash drives. Check out this registry path,

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies.

You may find a key here on the right side by the name 'WriteProtect'. If it's not there this would not be the cause of problem. If it's there, make sure that the value is 0.

Please let me know if this does'nt work.
